Clock Spring is a former client that truly had to stretch every dollar, because it never had more than $150,000 in any one year. To take advantage of its quirky name, we created an illustrated spokesperson, Dr. Clark Spring, and we persuaded the client to let us make the technology easy to understand and adopt.
Both of the magazine ads were number one inquiry producers in the leading pipeline industry trade journal for the year in which they ran. We managed to work Clark into every promotion, from tradeshow displays to holiday season greeting cards. FYI, “no welding” was a primary benefit of the product’s application process. In less than two years, sales of Clock Spring pipeline repair products more than doubled.
